ESN Oktoberfest Campsite

super experience, nice environment and culture

Positiv: Everything was well thought out — toilets, showers, tent area, breakfast, etc. Because of this, the stay was comfortable and pleasant.

Negativ: The only issue was that temperatures dropped to around -2°C at night and it was rainy on some evenings. The sleeping bags provided in the tents were suitable for spring conditions, so this should be clearly mentioned as a warning. I brought my own winter-rated sleeping bag, so I was fine, but many other guests felt very cold and moved to hotels.

First time camping. Very cold but lovely experience 😊

Positiv: I had never camped before, so when I discovered the ESN Campsite on booking, I decided to give it a try. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, I liked the fact that there were also activities at the campsite stretching into the night after the Oktoberfest itself back in the city. The surrounding and facilities were also clean. Best to come prepared with heavy clothes and blankets, it can be pretty cold in the night.

Negativ: The breakfast was decent but sometimes cold. There weren’t enough charging ports for all the people present.

Memorable Experience

Positiv: The campsite was in a great location & really added to our Oktoberfest experience! Having the bar on site helped keep the party going & the toilet facilities were great considering it was a campsite. However, what made the stay so memorable were the amazing staff at YES Trips! All of the staff were so friendly & helpful that it felt like home as soon as we arrived. Shout out to Tash who from the get go was bringing the vibes & helped us feel so welcome on check in. Also to Ally who was such an amazing tour guide for our stay, always going above & beyond & full of great ideas, like the mega sleeping bag 😊. Finally to Nicole who was always able to answer any questions & was the queen of beer pong, Gold Star for her ⭐. The rest of the staff were equally fantastic & did such a good job. Thank you & we are looking forward to next year! Laz, Baz & Juke 🫶

Negativ: It was freezing cold & rather loud but what do you expect from an Oktoberfest campsite.

Amazing staff and perfect Oktoberfest experience

Positiv: Amazing experience, the Saturday party was fun and going to the Oktoberfest with the staff was the best. I would recommend the campsite experience!

Negativ: Toilets could be cleaner

Great experience and worth it to do it cheaply/ meet new people.

Positiv: Was a great place to meet other travellers… solo and group. They have a WhatsApp chat so you can keep in touch with other people and to meet people in Oktoberfest. The staff are so fun and helpful

Negativ: There could have been more charging facilities as it was very chaotic trying to charge at a popular time. Just a few extra extension leads would have help.

Positiv: Helpful staff, tent and everything set up - lovely way to spend my first Oktoberfest with friends! Also has a bar and food place on site which is perfect to give you a kickstart to the day!

Negativ: Location is a little far, but to be expected for the price. With rideshares / metro it's works out well enough. Expect about 40m if walking.

Great experience overall

Positiv: Coffee was great , staff friendly . 2nd day ( Sunday ) supplies lasted longer for breakfast . Impressed with the cleanliness of the women showers and toilets ( maybe the men was the same)

Negativ: We had 3 breakfast there , 1st one was very limited , too many people I guess and they did not prepare for that ?! No fruit available at all , or yogurt.

Clean, safe and in a great location!!

Positiv: We stayed for four nights during the first weekend of Oktoberfest, and the campsite, along with its facilities, were clean, safe, and accommodating, especially for tent camping. Although the tent was labelled as a 3-person tent, it felt a bit tight with both me and my partner, plus our two 70L bags for our 8-week trip. That said, the experience was excellent, and I can confirm the tents are waterproof, as it rained on our last night. Getting to and from Oktoberfest was convenient, with just a short walk at each end of the train ride. The Yes Trip crew were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
